About Carlos

Carlos Robles is a professional sailor known for his accomplishments as a strategist and tactician. Originally from Barcelona, Spain, Carlos grew up sailing on the Mediterranean and achieved early success as a youth sailor in the Optimist and 29er. He notably won three consecutive World Championships in the 29er.

After much success as a youth sailor, Robles continued to excel in the highly competitive 49er Olympic sailing class competing for the Brazilian Olympic team.

Robles is now a tactician and strategist for professional racing teams with notable achievements in the J70, Melges 24, TP52, Marstrom 32, and Etchells circuits. He has also competed in several offshore races including the Ocean Race Europe, Rolex Middle Sea Race, Caribbean 600, and Newport to Bermuda Race.
